Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Manager, Security Engineering to lead strategy, enhancement, and operation of security programs in Bethesda, MD. You will manage a team safeguarding assets, drive policies, risk management, and regulatory compliance across GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST.

You will shape security architecture, oversee SIEM and endpoint protection, run audits, investigations, and respond to threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• 7–10 years’ experience in Information Security preferred.
• 7–10 years’ experience in a leadership or managerial role preferred.
• 7–10 years demonstrated success in leading cross-functional security initiatives in complex environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM, encryption).
• Hands-on cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Information Security professionals.
• Develop and implement the organization’s information security strategy, policies, and standards.
• Oversee daily security operations, including monitoring, detection, and incident response.
• Lead investigation and resolution of major security incidents and recommend improvements.
• Manage implementation and operation of security technologies (SIEM, endpoint protection).
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST.
