Total Wine & More in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Senior Manager, Security Engineering to lead strategy, enhancement, and execution of security programs, tools, and operations. You will manage a team of information security professionals, drive risk management, incident response, and ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• 7–10 years’ experience in Information Security preferred.
• 7–10 years’ experience in a leadership or managerial role preferred.
• 7–10 years demonstrated success in leading cross-functional security initiatives in complex environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM tools, and encryption methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Information Security professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Develop and implement the organization’s information security strategy, policies, and standards.
• Oversee daily security operations, including monitoring, detection, and incident response.
• Lead investigations and resolution of major security incidents, providing analysis and recommendations.
• Manage the implementation and operation of advanced security technologies (SIEM, endpoint protection, threat intelligence).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Conduct regular security audits, assessments, and penetration tests.
