Verisign in Reston, VA is seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to lead security across all software used by the company. You will partner with development teams and third parties to bake in security, privacy, and compliance from design through production.

You will drive threat modeling, run deep vulnerability assessments, manage the security testing toolchain, and mentor engineers while shaping the standards of the program.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT with hands-on application development experience.
• Extensive experience conducting application security assessments.
• Hands-on with SCA, SAST/DAST, and secrets scanning.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM security risks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead application security assessments across design to production.
• Guide remediation and mentor junior engineers.
• Own vulnerability management lifecycle and SLA tracking.
• Evaluate AI/LLM security risks and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with DevOps to secure CI/CD pipelines.
