Job summary

Echelon Risk + Cyber in Washington, DC seeks a hands-on Manager of Security Engineering to lead a team of Senior Security Engineers within our MSSP services. You will drive security policy, threat response, and client-focused solutions across Azure and AWS environments.

The role combines leadership with deep technical execution, including incident response, CSPM, IAM, and data protection, to protect client environments while growing the team and maturing security playbooks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• CCSP, CISSP, CEH, CISM, or similar certifications.
• 5+ years in a senior security engineer role, with MSP/MSSP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Senior Security Engineers, including performance reviews and career development.
• Oversee client engagements, security policy implementation, and incident response planning.
• Design and secure cloud solutions (Azure/AWS) and manage CSPM tooling.
• Direct security operations, SIEM/MDR/IDS/IPS, and incident response readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into client IT infrastructure.
