Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Enterprise Application Security team. This role will be pivotal in shifting security left, embedding protections from initial code through production, and integrating security into AI-assisted development workflows.

You will collaborate with engineering to deter vulnerabilities before they arise and drive enterprise security across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• US Citizen required due to contractual/access requirements.
• Senior Security Engineer with focus on shift-left security in SDLC.
• Experience embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement shift-left security controls across the software development lifecycle.
• Configure and enforce security gates in CI/CD, with AI-assisted development.
• Lead vulnerability triage, remediation, and security metrics reporting.
• Develop security-as-code policies and embed security tooling across enterprise platforms.
