Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Enterprise Application Security team, embedding security into the software development lifecycle from code to production.

This hands-on role focuses on preventing vulnerabilities, securing pipelines, and empowering engineers to build secure software at enterprise scale within a leading health and insurance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field.
• 7+ years of experience in information security or risk management.
• Experience with CI/CD security gates and secure SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Build and enforce shift-left security controls across IDE, CI/CD, and pipelines.
• Lead vulnerability triage and remediation planning with SLA tracking.
• Automate and optimize the security toolchain and reporting pipelines.
• Enable and mentor developers with secure coding practices and training.
• Measure and report security posture with KPIs and dashboards.
