Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join our Enterprise Application Security team. You will embed security into every stage of the software development lifecycle, working with engineering to prevent vulnerabilities from the start.

You will design guardrails across CI/CD, manage scanners and policy enforcement, and drive metrics on remediation and AI security risk reduction. Strong collaboration with delivery teams and governance is essential.

Qualifications

• Senior security engineer responsible for embedding security into software lifecycle.
• Experience with enterprise AppSec tooling and AI-enabled development.
• Strong understanding of secure SDLC and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead security guardrail design to catch vulnerabilities early in dev lifecycle.
• Manage pipeline gates ensuring code meets security standards before production.
• Lead remediation prioritization using risk signals and metrics.
• Build and optimize security toolchain and dashboards.
• Mentor teams and deliver secure development guidance.
