Job summary

Capgemini in the United States is seeking a Security Engineer with hands-on experience in Proofpoint Email Security, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response. You will support day-to-day security operations, email threat monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and incident handling within a remote, globally distributed team.

Experience with Proofpoint PPS/TAP/TRAP, CVE risk-based prioritization, and CrowdStrike is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in cybersecurity operations, email security, vulnerability management or IR.
• Hands-on Proofpoint experience: PPS, TAP, TRAP, DLP, URL Defense, Attachment Defense.
• Familiar with phishing analysis and malware indicators.
• Knowledge of CVE/CVSS and risk-based remediation.
• Experience with MS 365, Exchange Online, and mail flow basics.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Proofpoint email security platforms and controls.
• Monitor email security health and investigate phishing or malicious alerts.
• Configure spam, impersonation protection, DLP, encryption, SPF/DKIM/DMARC.
• Support vulnerability management: scan reviews, remediation tracking, SLA follow-up.
• Coordinate patching with apps, infrastructure and security teams.
• Assist in incident response: analyze alerts, gather evidence, containment.
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards for leadership review.
• Assist integration of security tools with SIEM/SOAR and ITSM platforms.
