Job summary

Meta Security is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our Nation State leadership team. You will drive strategy, influence stakeholders, and develop detection and response automation across platforms.

You’ll also work alongside Security Engineers and Analysts to identify critical assets and TTPs, assess the top risks, and evaluate potential attacks against Meta systems. You’ll work with policy and legal teams to strengthen our standards and governance, and build response workflows

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in offensive or defensive cyber operations, detection and response engineering, or similar security engineering role
• Experience communicating and influencing across functions to drive solutions
• Engineering mindset to reason about complex technical systems
• Experience designing systems for external and insider threat response

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize company-wide security risks
• Lead cross-company workstreams to deploy security capabilities
• Develop detection and response automation across platforms
• Perform threat modeling for endpoints, cloud environments, and networks
• Review security architectures and propose logging, detection and prevention controls
• Collaborate with policy and legal teams to strengthen standards and governance
• Support security incident response across a cross-functional environment
• Build logging pipelines using custom datasets and infrastructure
