Job summary

Meta Security is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our Nation State leadership team. You will work across security and engineering teams to drive strategy, influence stakeholders, and develop detection and response automation leveraging both industry-standard and custom detection and response platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include: strong security risk management in fast-moving environments.
• 10+ years in offensive/defensive cyber operations, detection and response, or related security engineering.
• Experience communicating across functions to drive solutions.
• Experience delivering executive-level security strategies.
• Engineering background understanding complex technical systems.
• Experience designing systems for responding to external and insider threats.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and prioritize risk across the company.
• Lead cross-company workstreams to deploy security capabilities.
• Apply attacker mindset to strengthen incident detection and response.
• Perform threat modeling across assets and environments.
• Review security architecture and propose logging, detection, and prevention controls.
• Collaborate with policy and legal teams on standards and governance.
• Build response workflows to auto-resolve false positives.
• Influence asset-owning teams on access control and processes.
• Support security incident response in cross-functional settings.
• Build logging pipelines using custom datasets and infrastructure.
