Job summary

Meta Security is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join the Nation State leadership team. You will drive strategy, influence stakeholders, and develop detection and response automation across security and engineering teams.

You will identify critical assets and TTPs, assess top risks, and evaluate potential attacks against Meta systems. Collaboration with policy, legal, and cross-functional teams is essential to success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in offensive/defensive cyber operations or security engineering roles.
• Experience communicating with and influencing cross-functional teams.
• Experience delivering executive-level security strategies.
• Engineering mindset to understand complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize areas of risk across the company.
• Lead cross-company workstreams to deploy security capabilities.
• Apply attacker mindset to strengthen detection and response for complex threats.
• Perform TTP-based threat modeling across assets (endpoints, cloud, networking).
• Review security architectures and propose logging, detection, and prevention controls.
• Collaborate with policy and legal to strengthen standards and governance.
• Build response workflows to auto-resolve false positives and scale investigations.
• Influence asset-owning teams to adopt proper access controls and processes.
• Support security incident response in a cross-functional environment.
• Build logging pipelines using custom datasets and infrastructure.
