Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Elasticsearch Security team. You will contribute to the architecture and design of Elasticsearch's main features. These features include authentication, authorization, and tenant isolation.

You will work with engineering and product leaders at Elastic. Your goal is to participate in providing high-performance security at all levels.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Java internals and JVM memory management.
• Experience building scalable authorization systems.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems security concepts.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and SAML protocols.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to core security initiatives from architecture to production for Elasticsearch core features.
• Develop foundational security models for new features.
• Optimize security performance in distributed systems.
• Apply cryptographic solutions to real customer use cases.
• Drive vulnerability management in collaboration with the InfoSec team.
