Job summary

Armada is seeking a senior security engineering leader to drive Azure cloud, hybrid infrastructure, and edge security. You will set detection engineering direction, manage CI/CD security gates, and advise engineering teams on complex security decisions.

This role focuses on securing AI/ML workloads at the edge and involves end-to-end incident response. The ideal candidate will own security policies aligned to NIST/ISO 27001/SOC 2, lead audits, and guide teams on risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity or related field with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in information security, including 5+ years in cloud security.
• Deep hands-on Azure security expertise (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Entra ID, Key Vault).
• Production experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, WAF, email security, CSPM/CNAPP, vulnerability management.
• Proven experience securing Kubernetes and containerized workloads at scale.
• Experience embedding security testing into CI/CD with SAST/DAST/SCA and IaC scanning.
• Advanced application security testing for web/API and secure code review.
• Strong knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2; audit experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve security architecture across Azure, hybrid, and edge deployments.
• Lead detection engineering, CI/CD controls, and incident response as senior escalation point.
• Lead security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and web/API penetration testing.
• Threat model new services and guide risk tradeoffs with engineering teams.
• Own vulnerability lifecycle and integrate security gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define guardrails as policy-as-code using Azure Policy, OPA/Gatekeeper, or Kyverno.
• Lead security reviews of designs and code across engineering teams.
