Job summary

Abnormal AI is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to lead architecture and secure delivery at scale. You will shape AI-driven security capabilities, prototype detection logic, and own Terraform/CloudFormation-based guardrails across AWS environments.

You will direct security design reviews, mentor engineers, and drive incident response while expanding reusable AI-assisted playbooks for IaC security and detection across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven delivery in security engineering or infrastructure security roles.
• Strong AWS knowledge, IAM, VPC, and network segmentation.
• Experience with IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) in AWS.
• Fluency directing AI coding/agent tools for secure delivery.
• Ability to translate security requirements into engineering tasks.
• Excellent written communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead threat modeling and security design discussions with platform and product teams.
• Review security architecture of new features, assess data exposure and access controls.
• Collaborate to build scalable preventative controls in AWS via IaC.
• Evaluate and uplift security tooling across cloud-native and AI-assisted capabilities.
• Mentor engineers on leveraging AI while maintaining security judgment.
• Prototype automation for signal correlation, alert enrichment, and auto-remediation.
• Architect and validate integrations between AWS and other security tooling.
• Contribute to security incident response with AI-assisted triage.
• Create reusable AI-assisted playbooks for IaC security review and detection.
