Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer III (L6) for Ring and Blink CS Security Program in Hawthorne, CA. You will own development of monitoring and incident response mechanisms, and partner with AppSec, Product Security, and Engineering to embed security early in CS builds.

You will design scalable security frameworks, drive automated compliance, and mentor security engineers while balancing customer experience and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of non‑internship experience troubleshooting systems, analyzing logs, or automating tasks using command line tools.
• 5+ years of experience identifying security issues and developing mitigation plans.
• 4+ years of scripting, programming, and security code review in common languages.
• Knowledge of at least two of Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Experience with industry‑based security vulnerabilities identification and remediation techniques.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security frameworks that scale across Ring and Blink CS operations, including Splunk‑based detection systems and dashboards.
• Develop AI‑powered security solutions, including risk scoring and automated threat detection.
• Establish streamlined security pathways balancing security with efficient assessments with cross‑functional partners.
• Drive cross‑organizational consensus, mentoring engineers and setting security standards.
