Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. is seeking a senior data platforms/engineering professional to own multi-terabyte-per-day log pipelines across AWS and GCP. You will manage ingestion, cost control, schema, and onboarding of new sources to support threat detection and analytics across brands.

You will write production software in Python/Go/Rust/Java, own CI/CD pipelines, and build dashboards that executives rely on. A strong emphasis on reliability, collaboration, and security controls is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating high-volume data pipelines in production at multi-terabyte-per-day scale.
• 4+ years writing production software in Python, Go, Rust, or Java for services used by others.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, including IaC and CI/CD ownership.
• Strong SQL and data modeling in Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, with cost control and tuning.
• Experience owning reliability for a platform, including on-call readiness.
• Experience building executive dashboards and engineering metrics that drive actions.
• Proven leadership and project management across infra, platform, and incident response.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-terabyte-per-day log pipelines across AWS and GCP, including ingestion, routing, enrichment, and onboarding sources.
• Control ingest cost and volume, reducing noise without dropping audit logs.
• Model security data and optimize queries in Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Ship production services and integrations like SIEM connectors and API clients.
• Set and defend SLOs for log availability and freshness with dashboards and alerts.
• Own infrastructure as code and CI/CD for pipelines and detections-as-code.
• Build AI-runbooks to speed triage across cloud workloads.
• Enforce IAM governance for cloud pipelines and lead cross-functional projects.
