Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build scalable data foundations and deliver trusted metrics that enable fast decision-making across product and operations. You will collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into data requirements, and design end-to-end analytics solutions that scale company-wide.

Qualifications

• 2-6+ years of experience in BI, analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, Sigma for reporting/visualizations.
• Familiarity with database fundamentals (S3, Trino, Hive, Spark) and SQL performance tuning.
• Experience writing data quality checks (Pydeequ, Great Expectations).
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical teams.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; self-starter and self-organizing.
• Ability to think strategically, and interpret market and consumer information.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and stakeholders to translate needs into data requirements.
• Identify key business questions and develop data solutions to generate insights.
• Lead the development of data products and self-serve analytics tools.
• Build canonical datasets via ETL/ELT pipelines using data lake/warehouse concepts.
• Design metrics and dashboards with Tableau, Sigma, and Mode.
• Uphold data integrity standards to increase reusability and standardization.
