Job summary

DoorDash seeks a Senior Data Engineer for Global Cyber Defense to own multi-terabyte data pipelines across AWS and GCP, focusing on reliability, cost control, and schema management to empower detection engineers and responders.

You will write production software, collaborate with cross-functional teams in the US and UK, and drive on-call health of pipelines while building scalable dashboards and automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating high-volume data pipelines in production at multi-terabyte-per-day scale.
• 4+ years writing production software in Python, Go, Rust, or Java: services and tooling beyond scripts.
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS and GCP, including infrastructure as code and CI/CD ownership.
• Strong SQL and data modeling in a columnar warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Proven reliability ownership for a platform used by other engineers.
• Experience building executive dashboards and engineering metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-terabyte-per-day log pipelines across AWS and GCP: ingest, routing, enrichment, schema management, onboarding sources.
• Control ingest cost and volume, reducing noise while preserving audit logs for investigators.
• Model security data and tune query performance in Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Ship production services and integrations such as SIEM connectors and automation.
• Set and defend SLOs for log availability and freshness with dashboards and alerts.
• Own infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build AI agents and automated runbooks to speed triage and fixes.
• Enforce IAM and service account governance for cloud workloads.
• Lead cross-functional projects across infra, platform engineering, and incident response.
• Create and maintain standards and mentor engineers.
