Fortra is seeking a skilled automation-focused professional to enhance Security Operations through Python scripts and data-driven decision making. You will partner with stakeholders to define requirements, estimate timelines, and deliver proofs of concept that demonstrate measurable efficiency gains.

The role emphasizes automation via APIs, data analysis, and cross-team collaboration, with on-call support for critical applications. A strong cybersecurity background is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 2–3 years software development experience.
• 4-5 years of data analysis experience leveraging SQL.
• 4-5 years of scripting experience in Python.
• Experience with Flask, creating libraries, Python packaging and CICD.
• 3-4 years of experience in the Cybersecurity industry.
• Understanding of DNS, Proxies, Whois, SSL.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts and applications in Python
• Analyze data and processes to identify automation opportunities
• Meet with stakeholders to define requirements and provide time estimates
• Develop quick proof of concepts to vet ideas
• Produce metrics showing automation impact
• Monitor applications and troubleshoot errors
• On-call support as needed for applications
