Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Security Assurances, to join our GRC engineering team. You will build automated security programs, define guardrails, and deploy security policies across SDLC and infrastructure in a fully remote role.

You will work with Go, TypeScript, and Python in a cloud-native environment, collaborating with security engineers and developers to raise security maturity while supporting audits and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Production-grade software development experience.
• Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, or Python; ability to discuss algorithms and data structures.
• Hands-on with containerized, cloud-native apps; Kubernetes experience preferred.
• Experience automating security and compliance processes; familiar with security frameworks.
• Degree in CS, Information Security, or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Be a technical contributor on the GRC team across certifications, application, cloud, and internal security tooling development.
• Develop and maintain automated security assurance programs to meet ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, NIST, PCI-DSS, and similar standards.
• Create systems and automations for security observability and compliance across SDLC and pipelines.
• Integrate security controls into software development and operations; collaborate with teams.
• Respond to security incidents, alerts, and customer security issues.
