Job summary

EchoStar is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design and operationalize secure Large Language Model platforms for security analytics, threat detection, and governance. You will implement retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and integrate with existing security tooling to empower the SOC.

You will lead defense-in-depth strategies, model monitoring, and adversarial testing, ensuring prompt injection resistance and safe automation across security operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Security Engineering, Security Architecture, Threat Research, or Detection Engineering.
• 3+ years in Generative AI development, modeling, integration, and security.
• Experience with large language model platform integration (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenAI).
• Proficiency in Python for developing AI pipelines, automation, and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure LLM-driven platforms for security analytics, threat detection, third-party risk management, and governance workflows.
• Implement secure data ingestion and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines across structured and unstructured security data sources to improve context retrieval and detection accuracy.
• Develop agentic automation workflows that integrate into security tooling to augment SOC analysts and threat hunters.
• Establish continuous monitoring models to evaluate control effectiveness, risk scoring, detection correlation, model drift, and safety failures.
• Define enterprise architecture and governance frameworks to protect AI systems against prompt injection and adversarial abuse.
