Job summary

Applied Systems seeks a Security Engineer to secure AI/ML systems and large language models. You will evaluate security postures, implement controls for model training and inference, and harden AI platforms, while staying current with emerging AI threats and best practices.

You will collaborate across teams, apply secure software practices, and contribute to AI security policy development, with a flexible remote/hybrid work setup in North America.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in security engineering or DevSecOps roles.
• Foundational understanding of ML concepts, ML workflows, and common frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Working knowledge of llm security concerns (prompt injection, jailbreaking, data poisoning).
• Experience with container security, Kubernetes security, and securing AI workloads in containers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate security posture of LLMS and AI systems used within Applied Systems.
• Conduct threat modeling and security reviews for AI/ML systems and data pipelines.
• Implement and maintain security controls for AI model training, fine-tuning, and inference infrastructure.
• Develop security baselines and hardening configurations for AI platforms and frameworks.
• Identify and remediate AI/ML security vulnerabilities (prompt injection, data exfiltration, adversarial attacks).
