Job summary

Applied Systems seeks an experienced security engineer to secure LLMs, generative AI systems, and ML infrastructure. You will apply traditional security principles to AI security, working with cutting-edge technology and growing expertise in this emerging domain.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of security engineering or DevSecOps experience.
• Foundational understanding of ML concepts and workflows.
• Experience with LLM security concerns (prompt injection, jailbreaking, data poisoning).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and secure LLMs and generative AI systems used within or by Applied Systems.
• Conduct threat modeling and security reviews for AI/ML data pipelines.
• Implement and maintain security controls for AI model training, fine‑tuning, and inference infrastructure.
• Develop security baselines and hardening configurations for AI platforms.
• Identify and remediate AI/ML security vulnerabilities (prompt injection, model poisoning, data exfiltration).
• Implement data security and privacy controls for AI training datasets and inference inputs.
• Develop security runbooks for AI systems incident response.
• Participate in security reviews of AI/ML apps and vendor AI services.
• Contribute to internal AI security policies and guidelines.
• Assist with proof‑of‑concept builds for AI security solutions.
• Stay current with AI security threats and industry best practices.
• Contribute to internal security training related to AI risks.
