Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Secure Systems Engineer to shape secure architectures across enterprise IT, edge computing, and OT landscapes. You will embed security into the software development lifecycle, strengthen edge defenses, and lead IaC practices to improve deployment consistency and security.

A US Secret clearance is required. You will collaborate with SOC, IT operations, and engineering teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to threat modeling and security testing

Qualifications

10+ years in IT/cybersecurity
5+ years in network security with edge computing
Experience using AI-assisted coding tools
Familiarity with OT environments in aerospace/defense
Automation/IaC experience with Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation

Responsibilities

Embed secure SDLC practices with software teams across design/build/release
Strengthen edge network security controls and OT risk considerations
Advance automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption
Contribute to threat modeling and secure testing methodologies
Produce thorough technical documentation for audits and standards
