Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Secure Systems Engineer to advance security across hybrid cloud and on‑prem environments. You will embed security into the software development lifecycle, strengthen edge computing network defenses, and lead security reviews across engineering teams.

Requirements include 10+ years in IT/cybersecurity, 5+ years in network security with edge computing, familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools, and the ability to obtain US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional IT/cybersecurity experience.
• 5+ years of network security experience with edge computing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools and ability to validate AI-generated code.
• Familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Programming familiarity (language-agnostic) to engage in code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Embed secure software development practices across the SDLC.
• Strengthen network security controls for edge computing and remote deployments.
• Maintain awareness of OT security within aerospace environments.
• Contribute to threat modeling and secure testing methodologies.
• Architect, troubleshoot, and secure systems across hybrid, cloud, and on‑prem environments.
• Advance IaC adoption to improve deployment security and repeatability.
• Mentor junior staff and share security engineering expertise.
