Job summary

KBR’s National Security Solutions team seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, and sustain secure network architectures for DoW software across development, test, and production environments. You will work with DoW engineers and government stakeholders to ensure coverage from design through deployment.

The role emphasizes SDN, automation with Ansible/Python, IaC with Terraform, and compliance with DoW instructions, SPARTAN/CANES, and DISN. A Top Secret/SCI-eligible clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Ability to obtain JWIC, SAP/SAR clearance.
• Requires 7-9 years of experience with BS/BA.
• Minimum 3 years of Cisco experience; expertise with routers, switches, firewalls.
• Proven VMware experience.
• Experience with LAN/WAN and network encryption.
• Automation using Ansible or Python and SDN experience.
• IaC experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of DISN, SPARTAN or CANES systems.
• IAT Level III certifications (CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH).
• Experience with Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps.
• GitLab/Jira/Confluence familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze existing network architecture; design modern WAN/MAN/LAN solutions.
• Lead secure, scalable network designs across development, test, and production environments.
• Recommend best practices like SDN and network segmentation.
• Collaborate with DoW engineers to design circuit specifications.
• Integrate networking solutions into the application lifecycle from design to deployment.
• Interface with government stakeholders and leadership on risks and mitigations.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and incident response for network infrastructure.
• Maintain network standards and baselines aligned with DoW instructions.
• Advise users on hardware requirements and configurations.
