Job summary

KBR is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to design and maintain secure architectures across Windows, Linux, cloud, and container environments. You will perform vulnerability management, incident response, and security automation using PowerShell, Python, and Bash, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on risk assessments and continuous monitoring.

The role requires top-secret clearance with SCI, DoD 8570.1-M/8140 Level III certification, and hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Top Secret clearance with SCI required.
• DoD 8570.1-M/8140 IAT Level III certification (Security+?CASP/GCIH/CISA/CISSP) required.
• Strong networking and cloud security background with Kubernetes and DevSecOps experience.
• Experience with security standards (NIST RMF, STIGs) and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security architecture aligned with NIST RMF, DoD STIGs, CIS benchmarks.
• Perform security engineering across SDLC including requirements analysis, reviews, testing, and accreditation support.
• Utilize Nessus, ACAS, and Qualys for vulnerability management and remediation.
• Integrate security into Windows/Linux servers, cloud, virtualization, and containers.
• Support incident response and forensics using Splunk Enterprise.
