Job summary

A fast-growing, highly innovative real estate and investment management firm seeks a Manager to own the SEC reporting function for a non-traded REIT. You will lead the quarterly close-to-filing process, coordinate with internal controls, and partner across teams to enhance reporting processes and strengthen controls.

You will draft MD&A with senior leadership, oversee XBRL tagging, and perform technical accounting research.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting.
Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Experience with technical accounting research and memo writing.
Strong communication skills and ability to partner across teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.
Own and drive the quarterly close-to-filing reporting process, including coordination of internal controls.
Draft and refine MD&A in partnership with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Oversee XBRL/iXBRL tagging and ensure accuracy of disclosures.
Partner on technical accounting research, memos, and implementation of new standards.
Monitor evolving FASB/SEC guidance and assess impact on reporting.
Collaborate closely with external auditors and support audit and review processes.
Identify and implement process improvements and reporting efficiencies.
