Job summary

A fast-growing, highly innovative real estate and investment management firm seeks a Manager to own the SEC reporting function for a non-traded REIT. You will lead the quarterly close-to-filing process, coordinate with internal controls, and partner across teams to enhance reporting processes and strengthen controls.

You will draft MD&A with senior leadership, oversee XBRL tagging, and perform technical accounting research.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience with technical accounting research and memo writing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Own and drive the quarterly close-to-filing reporting process, including coordination of internal controls.
• Draft and refine MD&A in partnership with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee XBRL/iXBRL tagging and ensure accuracy of disclosures.
• Partner on technical accounting research, memos, and implementation of new standards.
• Monitor evolving FASB/SEC guidance and assess impact on reporting.
• Collaborate closely with external auditors and support audit and review processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements and reporting efficiencies.

You’ll take ownership of the SEC reporting function for a non-traded REIT while partnering cross-functionally to enhance reporting processes, strengthen controls, and support technical accounting initiatives.
