GSP International in Whippany, NJ is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead SEC external reporting and oversee SOX/internal controls. The role reports to the VP, Global Controller and is hybrid (3 days on site per week).

You will manage the SEC reporting calendar, coordinate audits, and guide technical accounting for complex transactions while developing the accounting team and improving processes.

Qualificações

• 10-12+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 5+ years of SEC reporting experience at a public company.
• 4+ years of Big 4 experience at Manager level or above.
• Active CPA license required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting.
• Biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the SEC reporting process, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy materials, earnings releases, and XBRL.
• Manage and coordinate external and internal audits with auditors and legal counsel.
• Oversee SOX 404 internal controls, including testing, documentation, remediation, and improvements.
• Research and resolve complex technical accounting issues under U.S. GAAP.
• Evaluate new FASB accounting standards and SEC regulations and impact on the company.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and establish accounting policies.
• Support accounting for acquisitions, divestitures, debt/equity financing, impairments, and intangibles.
• Oversee stock compensation accounting and financial disclosure requirements.
