Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting to lead the external financial reporting function, owning the end-to-end preparation, review, and filing of SEC documents and related disclosures. The role requires deep U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years of SEC reporting experience in a public company.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules, and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the complete SEC reporting cycle, including the preparation, review, and filing of Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, Proxy Statements, and Section 16 filings.
• Coordinate and oversee the reporting calendar to ensure filings are completed on time.
• Review financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, earnings materials, and disclosures for SEC/U.S. GAAP compliance.
• Maintain and improve disclosure controls and procedures; lead the disclosure checklist process.
• Lead the disclosure committee and facilitate quarterly review meetings; mentor SEC reporting staff.
• Research, document, and conclude on complex accounting transactions; prepare memoranda for acquisitions, debt, restructurings.
• Monitor SEC and FASB developments and assess impacts on reporting.
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and support SOX compliance.
