Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Manager, SEC Reporting to lead the company’s SEC filings, earnings process, and external reporting activities in a fast-paced public company environment. You will coordinate quarterly and annual financial statements, disclosures, and partner with Corporate Accounting, business unit finance, and external auditors.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting, U.S. GAAP knowledge, and experience with consolidation and reporting systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in SEC reporting, public accounting, corporate accounting or related financial reporting.
Public company, Big 4 or national public accounting firm experience preferred and ability to work with external auditors.

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures for SEC filings.
Prepare, review and present key quarterly and annual financial information to senior leadership.
Coordinate with outside advisors on pension, postretirement and other specialized reporting matters.
Provide coaching and day-to-day support to SEC reporting team members.
Manage financial statement issuance timelines, quarterly reviews and annual audits with cross-functional partners.
Review audit support and documentation provided to external auditors.
Collaborate with business divisions on accounting matters and reporting questions.
Support acquisition-related accounting activities including purchase accounting and balance sheet opening procedures.
