Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an experienced SEC Reporting lead to manage the preparation and review of financial information released externally. This role requires strong project management, technical accounting knowledge, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence across functions to ensure GAAP compliance.

You will oversee monthly close, coordinate cross-functional teams, update the MD&A for Form 10-Q/10-K, and ensure disclosures meet government regulations and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; CPA preferred
• 5+ years experience in related field, public accounting or SEC reporting
• Supervisory or managerial experience with direct reports
• CPA preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation projects for upcoming disclosure requirements (DISE) and SEC reporting
• Provide accounting guidance to business partners on transactions to ensure GAAP conformity
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, timelines, risks, and communications
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to evaluate reporting processes and design future-state solutions
• Research impact of potential accounting rule changes on financial statements and advise management
• Ensure all SEC reports and disclosures comply with applicable regulations and policies
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and disclosures to maintain GAAP compliance
• Coordinate MD&A updates for Form 10-Q/10-K with Finance and Investor Relations
• Assist in monthly close process including journal entries and reconciliations
• Oversee outsourced staff and ensure policy compliance and proper course corrections
• Identify opportunities for improvements and select tools and cross-functional involvement
