Job summary

Career Developers, Inc. in Manhattan, NY is seeking a Financial Reporting specialist to support external SEC reporting and internal accounting processes. The role is four days a week in the office, with a focus on complex regulatory reporting and system enhancements.

The position requires 4–8 years in banking/financial services with emphasis in SEC reporting; CPA preferred. Salary is 125k–135k with a 10% bonus, paid annually.

Qualifications

• Four to eight years of experience required, preferably with a mix of public and private experience in banking or financial services with an emphasis in SEC reporting.
• Big Four public accounting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead external reporting for SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) and related disclosures.
• Prepare quarterly cash flow statements and MD&A support; oversee XBRL tagging where applicable.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure proper accounting for fixed income products and mortgage loans.
• Oversee Form 1042 filings with the IRS and monitor FHFA regulations.
• Develop and update accounting policies, procedures and controls supporting SOX requirements.
