Job summary

AIRO Group in McLean, VA seeks an SEC Financial Reporting Manager to ensure accurate SEC filings and robust financial reporting across the organization. You will lead internal and external reporting, MD&A, footnotes, and coordination with auditors and investor relations.

The role requires 5+ years in SEC reporting, strong GAAP/SOX knowledge, and proficiency in Excel/XBRL. CPA preferred; salary is market-competitive with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant professional experience; 3+ years of public accounting preferred.
• Extensive experience in public accounting or SEC reporting, generally 5–10+ years, including 3+ years in SEC reporting for publicly traded companies.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and SEC regulations.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software, Excel, and XBRL tagging.
• Experience with ESG reporting and disclosure readiness in line with SEC proposals.
• Ability to research complex accounting issues and recommend solutions.
• Solid communication and follow-up skills (verbal and written) using proper grammar.

Responsibilities

• Managing internal and external financial reporting activities, including preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including footnote disclosures, MD&A, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) and coordinate reviews.
• Provide guidance on adoption and implementation of new accounting standards and SEC requirements.
• Support Controller with review of contracts and related financial data.
• Collaborate with auditors, Investor Relations, and cross-functional teams for audits and board reporting.
• Prepare and review schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for technical areas and close processes.
• Ensure compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.
