Greene, Tweed seeks an experienced technical leader to drive design solutions and collaborate with customers globally. You will mentor teams, review complex drawings, and steer material selection to match application needs.

The role emphasizes cross-functional teamwork, advanced analysis, and continuous improvement. You will engage in project leadership, quality assurance, and product validation while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years in engineering or design environment.
• Experience using 3D CAD software; knowledge of FEA systems preferred.
• Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office.
• Ability to work in cross-functional team environment.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Experience in polymer, plastics, elastomer design/manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma principles, Yellow Belt preferred.
• Experience with material testing and material data analysis preferred.
• Previous customer-facing experience desired.
• Familiarity with RTCA DO-160 and/or Mil-STD-810 standards preferred.
• Ability to travel 10-20% for customer or industry meetings.

Responsibilities

• Architect design solutions and lead high-impact proposals.
• Mentor engineers and technicians and promote technical training.
• Represent GT at technical committees and events globally.
• Maximize material performance and align customer needs with GT tech.
• Review drawings and approve production designs for accuracy.
• Lead advanced engineering analysis on components and assemblies.
• Drive strategic projects across cross-functional teams.
• Define robust qualification, testing and validation methods.
• Investigate returned products to identify failure modes.
