Job summary

Greene, Tweed is seeking an Application Engineer-III to translate customer requirements into high-performance polymer solutions and lead product development from concept to delivery. Qualifications

• 6-10 Years in Engineering or Design environment.
• Experience using 3D CAD software; knowledge of FEA systems preferred.
• Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office.
• Ability to work in cross-functional team environment.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Experience in polymer, plastics, elastomer design/manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma principles, Yellow Belt preferred.
• Experience with material testing and material data analysis preferred.
• Previous customer-facing experience desired.
• Familiarity with RTCA DO-160 and/or Mil-STD-810 standards preferred.
• Ability to travel 10-20% for customer or industry meetings.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex customer requirements into high-performance solutions using GT materials and processes.
• Partner with global customers, sales, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive product development from concept to delivery.
• Provide cross-functional technical leadership and mentor engineers and technicians.
• Represent GT at technical committees and industry events.
• Organize and deliver technical presentations for customer meetings, industry forums, and technical societies.
• Maximize material performance by recommending advanced materials based on criteria and aligning with GT technology.
• Review engineering drawings and ensure documentation aligns with drafting standards.
• Lead advanced design analyses on components and assemblies.
• Define testing and qualification methods for finished products and author customer-facing reports.
• Analyze returned products to diagnose failure modes and advise on design improvements.
