Job summary

BD is seeking a Safety Data Sheet Authoring Senior Specialist to serve as SME for reagent hazard communication. You will plan, implement, and manage product stewardship activities with a global scope, focusing on SDS authoring and compliance.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain, lead data coordination across sites, and support regulatory assessments related to changes in hazard communication and transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Stewardship, or EH&S with hazard communication focus.
• Experience with global hazard communication regulations (NA/EU).
• Knowledge of US OSHA, WHMIS, REACH, CLP, and related standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for business.

Responsibilities

• Lead SDS authoring, review, and maintenance per global hazard communication requirements.
• Manage regulatory compliance data and SAP reporting related to product stewardship.
• Support Dangerous Goods classification for road, air, and sea transport per ADR, IMDG, IATA, ICAO, and 49 CFR.
• Coordinate data with Waters sites worldwide and assist in regulatory training.
