Job summary

Nutrien is hiring an experienced SDS authoring specialist to assess chemical hazards and prepare SDS documents for a wide range of products, including fertilizers and pesticides. The role involves interpreting lab data, applying weight-of-evidence decisions, and ensuring regulatory compliance across North America.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field, with at least 3 years of experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with SDS generation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Agriculture, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in product hazard classifications and SDS authoring using authoring software.
• Ability to interpret technical data and apply weight of evidence decisions to reach sound classifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical hazard assessments of products and mixtures per GHS and country-specific requirements.
• Author and maintain SDS documents using SDS generation software.
• Ensure regulatory designations and warning statements are accurate on SDS/related docs.
