Crusoe is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for SDN Architecture to drive the cloud networking stack for AI-first workloads. You will shape roadmaps, design high-performance networking solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable fabric and virtualization across GPU clusters.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in high-performance networking, strong systems programming -- C/C++/Go/Rust -- and deep Linux kernel experience.

Formación

8+ years building and operating large-scale networking systems in production.
SDN and NFV experience with C, C++, Go or Rust.
Strong Linux kernel knowledge and driver development.
Hands-on with kernel bypass and high-speed packet processing (XDP/eBPF/AF_XDP/DPDK).
Familiar with SmartNICs and accelerators.
Experience with network virtualization and data center fabrics (Spine-Leaf, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN) and OVS/OVN.
Knowledge of SR-IOV and vDPA; can debug across control/data planes.
Proven ability to influence technical decisions through communication.
Education: Bachelor's in CS/CE or equivalent experience.

Responsabilidades

Contribute to SDN execution, translate strategy into milestones and measurable outcomes.
Lead architecture reviews and author design docs for major SDN components.
Optimize kernel modules and drivers; work with XDP/eBPF/DPDK tooling.
Design GPU-to-GPU fabrics and high-speed Ethernet architectures.
Integrate SmartNICs/DPUs into the stack and tune virtualization features.
Troubleshoot production issues; perform performance tuning for throughput/latency.
Evaluate emerging SDN/NFV tech; contribute to open-source projects when relevant.
Mentor engineers and foster engineering excellence across teams.
Collaborate with Product, Hardware, and Infra to implement architecture in production.
