Job summary

Crusoe is building the backbone of AI compute infrastructure in Sunnyvale, CA, and seeks a Staff Network Engineer to architect a high‑performance storage network. You will own the end-to-end spine-to-leaf fabric, drive deep debugging under production pressure, and push automation for scalable operations.

You'll operate beyond switches into OS stacks, NIC drivers, and software layers, partnering with SDN and Network Edge teams, translating network realities into storage context and vice versa.

Qualifications

• Real, battle-tested L2/L3 networking experience under production pressure.
• Ability to script and debug down to the TCP/IP level.
• Ownership mindset and pager-ready responsibility.
• Strong communication to translate networking to storage contexts.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate the storage network end to end — spine to leaf.
• Be the first and deepest line of defense when a cluster's fabric isn't behaving.
• Dive into OS network stack, NIC drivers, and software layers.
• Build automation and tooling for self-managing network at scale.
• Partner with SDN and Network Edge teams to apply software-defined thinking.
• Bridge networking and storage domains to align needs and reality.
