Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) for a 100% U.S.-based remote role. The position requires strong programming skills (C#, .Net, Java, or Python) and proven experience across manual and automated testing, with a focus on quality and reliability.

You will develop and execute test plans, write test cases and scripts, conduct reviews with stakeholders, and document test results.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience on complex software projects with high-quality deliverables.
• Experience in manual and automated testing.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure standards and end-user requirements.
• Write test cases, scripts, and identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.
• Perform tests to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
• Document and communicate test results; support issue resolution.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting.
