Job summary

Encore Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer / SDET to join a cross-functional Agile team supporting commercial lending solutions in Cincinnati. Qualifications

• Experience in quality engineering, test automation, or SDET roles.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, API, and exploratory testing.
• Develop comprehensive test cases with functional and technical coverage.
• Experience identifying, documenting, tracking defects.
• Strong understanding of automated architecture.
• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration.
• Knowledge of commercial lending systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering activities within a cross-functional Agile squad.
• Own test strategy, test planning, automation framework implementation, and test execution.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks and components.
• Develop structured and repeatable automated test suites for new features, enhancements, integrations, and functional changes.
• Use modern automation capabilities, including AI-assisted self-healing locators and automated failure analysis.
• Author comprehensive test cases and maintain testing documentation within test management tools.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, database, and exploratory testing.
• Validate data extracts, database transactions, integrations, and test data based on business requirements.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Reproduce reported issues, analyze application and test data, and help determine root causes.
• Partner with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and establish appropriate test coverage.
• Identify testing risks, raise concerns, and recommend solutions that protect quality and delivery timelines.
• Contribute to quality engineering standards, governance practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote automation best practices and provide technical leadership within the broader quality engineering organization.
