Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering activities within a cross-functional Agile squad.
• Own test strategy, test planning, automation framework implementation, and test execution.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks and components.
• Develop structured and repeatable automated test suites for new features, enhancements, integrations, and functional changes.
• Use modern automation capabilities, including AI-assisted self-healing locators and automated failure analysis.
• Author comprehensive test cases and maintain testing documentation within test management tools.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, API, database, and exploratory testing.
• Validate data extracts, database transactions, integrations, and test data based on business requirements.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Reproduce reported issues, analyze application and test data, and help determine root causes.
• Partner with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and establish appropriate test coverage.
• Identify testing risks, raise concerns, and recommend solutions that protect quality and delivery timelines.
• Contribute to quality engineering standards, governance practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote automation best practices and provide technical leadership within the broader quality engineering organization.

This individual will collaborate with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and other quality engineers to deliver reliable, scalable, and customer-focused solutions.

Candidates should have strong banking experience supporting commercial loan systems and hands-on knowledge of the complete lending lifecycle, including:

• Customer onboarding and loan origination
• Funding and loan boarding across servicing platforms
• Payments, move-money capabilities, and deposit integrations
• Loan servicing and lifecycle management
• Loan participation and syndication
• Complex commercial lending scenarios and system integrations

Required Skills

• Strong experience in quality engineering, test automation, or SDET roles.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, API, and exploratory testing methodologies.
• Ability to develop comprehensive test cases that provide effective functional and technical coverage.
• Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and helping resolve software defects.
• Strong understanding of software design principles and reusable automation architecture.
• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including root-cause analysis.

Desired Technical Experience

• Experience with Katalon, WebdriverIO, or comparable automation tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing capabilities, including self-healing locators and automated failure analysis.
• Experience testing native mobile applications.
• Knowledge of test data management practices.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
