Job summary

BCforward is seeking a QA Automation Engineer III in Cincinnati, OH for a 4-month contract. The role focuses on designing and implementing scalable test automation across UI and API layers in the banking domain, with a strong emphasis on commercial loan systems and Agile delivery.

You will lead test strategy, build new automation frameworks, author comprehensive test cases, and work closely with developers and stakeholders to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

5+ years in quality engineering or SDET roles with automation focus.
Experience with UI and API automation in banking domain.
Experience writing test cases, managing test data, and executing in Agile environments.
Strong root cause analysis and defect management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead quality engineering efforts within an Agile squad, chapter, and tribe.
Own test strategy, planning, framework implementation, and execution.
Design and develop new automation frameworks and maintain existing automation.
Create structured UI and API automated tests for web and mobile as applicable.
Author comprehensive test cases in test management tools and ensure coverage.
Reproduce issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate to resolve defects.
Apply AI-enhanced capabilities for self-healing locators and failure analysis.
Conduct exploratory testing and ensure alignment of product requirements with test coverage.
