Subway is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to design and build robust automated testing solutions, ensuring quality, reliability, and scalability across software systems. The Sr.

SDET will own test strategy for complex services, partner with engineering, product, and platform teams, and drive automation throughout the development lifecycle. The role requires hands-on experience in UI/API/backend test automation, strong programming skills, and the ability to mentor teams.

Qualifications

• Experience building automated tests for UI, API, and backend services.
• Experience owning test strategies for complex systems and platforms.
• Proficiency with modern programming languages and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend services.
• Own test strategy for assigned products or services and drive quality improvements.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid feedback and release readiness.
• Mentor SDETs and QA engineers through code reviews and collaboration.
• Analyze failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive quality measures.
