Job summary

Subway is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET) to design robust automated testing solutions, ensure quality and scalability, and own test strategy for complex systems. You will collaborate across engineering, product and platform teams to deliver high-quality releases.

You will mentor SDETs, lead automation initiatives, and drive quality improvements through code reviews and strong testing practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6-9 years of experience in software testing, automation, or SDET roles.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, C#).
• Extensive experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, REST-assured, Postman).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for UI, API, and backend services.
• Define and implement effective test strategies across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to SDETs and Quality Engineers.
