Job summary

Fidelity is seeking a Software Engineer in Test in Durham, NC to automate testing for the WI Emerging Business. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites and frameworks, collaborating with product owners, developers, and engineering managers in an Agile setting.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience in UI and API automation, strong proficiency in Playwright or Cypress, and expertise in Typescript/JavaScript and Cucumber/BDD.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of professional Testing/Development experience.
• Automation framework design using Playwright and/or Cypress.
• Experience with Typescript/JavaScript and Cucumber/BDD.
• Ability to diagnose issues across the tech stack using automated and manual testing.
• Experience testing Angular/Vue UI and RESTful services.
• DevOps experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, uDeploy).
• Knowledge of code quality/coverage tools like Sonar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop a suite of automation tests for Emerging Business.
• Collaborate with product, developers, and engineering teams.
• Prototype rapidly to validate ideas and approaches.
• Write and adapt code, reuse components, and test new features.
• Ensure designs meet performance, security, usability, and scalability requirements.
