Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in the United States is seeking an experienced Software QA Engineer specializing in API automation. You will plan, design, and maintain automated test frameworks using RestAssured and Java to ensure robust backend service quality.

You will integrate tests into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps, collaborate with developers on strategies and acceptance criteria, review code, and mentor junior QA engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Proficient in Java and RestAssured for API automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test frameworks.
• Familiar with RESTful APIs and JSON/XML.
• Knowledge of Postman, Swagger, and API documentation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for API and backend services using RestAssured.
• Write and execute robust automated test scripts for RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with development teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Perform code reviews for test automation scripts and mentor junior QA engineers.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure maintainability, scalability, and performance in test automation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
