Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Cincinnati is seeking a seasoned QA professional to drive quality assurance initiatives and automation framework development. You will engage across the SDLC, automate backend service tests, and contribute to CI/CD environments for scalable, enterprise-grade software.

The role requires strong JavaScript/Java skills, experience with REST Assured, Jira, Docker, and Agile practices, with a focus on delivering robust, testable software within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience of quality assurance and testing as well as developing automation frameworks and automated tests.
• 3 years programming experience in JavaScript, Node JS, Java.
• 2 years’ experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience with back end services automated testing tools such as REST Assured and Supertest.
• Experience with application life cycle management tools; Jira preferred.
• Hands-on experience in setting up CI build environments using TeamCity or GitLab.
• Hands-on experience in source control with Git.
• Familiarity with JUnit and TestNG.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the application technical design process with the Application Architects on Internet and eCommerce related development projects.
• Test web services using SOAP UI or any Service testing tools.
• Knowledge of Queue, Topic, JSON, XML.
• Participate in all phases of web services system testing.
• Develop, implement and maintain QA procedures, processes and best practices.
• Develop and maintain test plans and test cases with test data based on requirements.
• Identify test automation opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to test automation scripting standards and best practices.
• Understand SOA Architecture.
• Write automation scripts and participate in peer reviews.
